1. Product Overview
Perforated cable tray, also known as perforated tray type cable tray, is manufactured from stainless steel, hot-dip galvanized steel, fire-proof coated steel and other sheets. Its base plate is stamped with uniform heat dissipation holes, with bent-up side flanges. It is equipped with full sets of accessories including covers, splice plates, elbows and supports. It is widely used in factories, computer rooms, shopping malls and chemical workshops to lay power cables, control wires and optical fibers, serving for cable support, heat dissipation and wiring arrangement.
2. Main Structural Features
1. Perforated base plate
Regular heat dissipation holes on the base greatly improve heat dissipation of running cables and prevent cable aging caused by long-term high temperature. The holes also drain water and dust, avoiding water and dirt accumulation in humid & dusty environments.
2. Semi-open tray structure
Raised side flanges prevent cables from slipping off. Compared with fully enclosed cable trough, it is lighter with less material consumption, easier for cable pulling and later maintenance.
3. Multiple material options for different environments
- 304 / 316 stainless steel: acid & alkali resistant, anti salt spray, ideal for coastal areas, food factories, pharmaceutical plants and sewage treatment plants.
- Hot-dip galvanized steel: cost-effective for indoor factories and basements.
- Fire retardant coated steel: for office buildings, fire control rooms and weak current projects with flame retardant requirements.
4. Complete specifications & customizable service
Standard sizes (width × height): 100×50, 200×100, 300×100, 400×150, 600×200mm; plate thickness ranges from 1.0mm to 2.5mm. Custom width, height, hole size, length and dividers are available upon request.
3. Product Advantages
1. Excellent heat dissipation reduces cable heat loss and extends cable service life.
2. Light weight lowers load on ceiling and steel supports, cutting installation costs.
3. Drainage & dust-proof holes reduce rust risk in humid and dusty workshops.
4. Flexible installation with various elbows, tees and reducers for horizontal & vertical wiring.
5. Stable load capacity; thickened sheets can hold multiple large cross-section high-voltage cables.
4. Application Range
Industrial workshops, data computer rooms, underground parking lots, commercial complexes, sewage treatment stations, food processing plants, electroplating workshops and general outdoor areas with mild corrosion.
5. Matching Accessories
Cable tray cover, splice plate, horizontal elbow, vertical elbow, tee, reducer, divider, support bracket, stand column, grounding jumper.

FAQS
-
How to choose among solid tray, ladder tray and perforated tray?
Choose solid tray for weak current, computer rooms, dusty/humid sites and anti-interference demands; ladder tray for thick cables, high-power power circuits and workshops prioritizing heat dissipation; perforated tray for general workshops, mixed strong/weak current laying and cost control.
-
Which surface treatment for indoor and outdoor use respectively?
Electro-galvanized / fire retardant coated for dry indoor; hot-dip galvanized for outdoor & damp underground; 304 stainless steel or FRP for coastal and corrosive chemical environments.
-
What is the difference between national standard and non-standard cable trays?
National standard products strictly comply with standards on wall thickness, dimension and load capacity, passing acceptance of government, real estate and large bidding projects. Non-standard ones adopt thinner plates or customized sizes at lower prices, only suitable for small renovation without formal bidding requirements.
-
How much space should be reserved for cables inside the tray?
According to industry codes, total cross-sectional area of cables shall not exceed 40% of the tray’s inner section to reserve space for heat dissipation and future cable expansion, avoiding overheating and short circuit.
-
Cable trays are easy to deform during transportation, how do you guarantee product integrity?
Products are reinforced before shipment. Long trays are cut into segments and fixed with wooden frames for bulk orders. Free replacement of accessories or negotiated return & exchange for deformed goods received.
